A Real Estate Agent is a person whois licensed by the state to represent you, the buyer or the seller, in a real estate transaction in exchange for a commission.
Note: Not all real estate agents are REALTORS... There is a difference!
Unless the Real Estate Agent is also the broker, the real estate agent must work in association with a real estate broker or brokerage company.
If you are thinking about buying real estate then you will most likely need a real estate agent to represent you in the transaction.
